JAPAN - KYOTO ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO GROVE

The Bamboo grove is just north west of Kyoto, near the Tenryu-ji temple.  The path through the bamboo grove is around 500m long.  It is very crowded, this is one of Japan's most popular visitor sites - worth going early.
