JAPAN - TAKAYAMA
Takayama is situated in the mountains on a delightful country branch line off the Tokyo to Kyoto railway. It is a mix of modern and old towns It is known for its seven Sake Breweries. These photographs are of the old town - the Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the Festival Floats Museum, picturesque old town streets, and the historic Government House. Even the drain covers in Japan are individually decorated.
